FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: What does Insight Divorce Solutions do?

A: IDS offers supportive, practical guidance through every stage of divorce. We help you clarify your goals, stay organized, and move forward with clarity, confidence, and emotional balance. We provide referrals to trusted partners for therapists, parenting coordinators, certified divorce real estate agents and lending professionals and much more.

Q: How is divorce coaching different from therapy or legal support?

A: Divorce coaching is distinct from therapy or legal services. We're not therapists, we don't diagnose or treat mental health disorders. And we're not your attorney, we don't give legal advice or represent you in court. Instead, we support you in preparing for legal meetings, organizing documentation, making decisions, communicating clearly, and maintaining emotional resilience throughout the divorce process. We also provide you with tools you can use, and referrals to trusted attorneys, real estate agents and much more.

Q: Will you give me legal advice?

A: No. IDS does not provide legal advice and does not replace an attorney. We help you prepare questions for your lawyer, understand the divorce process, and make sure you're decision-ready, but we leave legal matters to licensed attorneys. We can also help you save money with your legal bills.

Q: Who can benefit from divorce coaching with IDS?

A: Anyone experiencing separation or considering divorce may benefit, whether you're amicable, unsure about filing, or facing a high-conflict situation. Our clients range from those needing a few guided steps to individuals seeking consistent support throughout the entire process. We also work with those post-divorce who could use support in rebuilding their life.

Q: Can IDS help me deal with a high-conflict or narcissistic ex?

A: Yes. We provide strategies to help you establish healthy boundaries, communicate more safely (or avoid harmful communication), document interactions, and maintain emotional stability, all focused on protecting your well-being and your children's trust and safety. Our Certified High Conflict Co-parenting Coach can provide you with tools and practices to minimize the conflict and help you gain confidence in your communication.

Q: Do I have to have filed for divorce to start coaching?

A: Not at all. Insight Divorce Solutions supports people at any stage, whether you're just exploring your options, deciding if divorce is the right path, preparing to file, or already mid-process.

Q: Are coaching sessions private and confidential?

A: Absolutely. Sessions are 100% confidential. Our goal is to give you a safe, judgment-free space to express concerns, get clarity, and plan your next steps.

Q: How long do clients typically work with Insight Divorce Solutions?

A: It varies. Some clients use a handful of sessions for specific issues. Others prefer ongoing support until resolution. We tailor session frequency to your unique needs, goals, and comfort level.

Q: What if my ex doesn't want to cooperate or participate?

A: That's okay. Coaching is for you, you don't need your ex to be involved to benefit. We help you navigate this process independently, while protecting your boundaries and mental health.

Q: What happens in my first session with Insight Divorce Solutions?

A: In the first session we'll explore where you're at, what's on your mind, and what challenges you're facing. Then we'll work together to identify your goals, create a personalized plan, and outline immediate next steps to help you move forward with clarity.

Q: Will you help me with communication, documentation, and tough conversations?

A: Yes. We support you in crafting messages, preparing scripts, organizing documentation, and approaching difficult conversations with calm, clarity, and purpose, so you stay grounded and confident throughout the process.
